Pity they're not running Demon's Souls, I've never seen that one speedrun and I've enjoyed speedruns of the other Souls games.

Looking a the schedule for the first time, I can't imagine how mind numbing a 2 hour Shenmue speed run must be.

To play, probably, but how watchable it is would depend entirely upon the commentary, I'd think. I mean, yeah, sadly, it's going to miss out on the best part of the game (collecting a million gatchapons like the irresponsible super-nerd you are), but somehow I think I'll live.

As we come down to these final minutes, I want to remind everyone that adding /popout to any Twitch URL ditches their terrible interface and just gives you the video. Very useful for watching on devices like phones and the Wii U as well. So http://www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick/popout will get you the stream. And we're live!

It's not three hours long because of 10 minute cutscenes or segments of flying over levels, it's pretty much all ridiculous tricks from start to finish. I watched...the blindfolded one he did of the game and I think a 100% one over the last few years. It was cool and all but...it just felt like it got really boring after about 40ish minutes. It just seems too long but this is also my opinion and I recognize all y'alls wrong ones have merit too. It just struck me looking at the schedule that having a gigantic one at the opening seems kinda a weird way to sell it to someone rather than like 6 30 minute games.

It just struck me looking at the schedule that having a gigantic one at the opening seems kinda a weird way to sell it to someone rather than like 6 30 minute games. It's fairly normal; I think the idea is that viewership is slow to ramp up over the first run, typically, so they throw in a longer run to let them work out the technical kinks and build viewership, so they only trample the hopes and dreams of one nerd instead of half a dozen. Plus, I dunno, people keep talking up Trihex actually getting his head back in the game, but maybe they just want to make sure he can go in and do his thing before he psyches himself out or something. Plus, they're probably trying to ramp the viewership up earlier, since it usually takes a little while to get rolling most years. Also, yeah, totally loving the MLG Procaster table here.

I'm totally down with SpeedCenter. The dead couch/air section before and after games were a problem and people complained about them all the time. They're doing a lot better as they go, they know what they're talking about, and it's a good introduction for people who may not be long time fans or know anything about speedrunning.

Great to hear them plugging Freedom Planet already. Hopefully the devs will see a big sales spike when people see it being Done Fast(tm). Fantastic game that somehow almost no site even reviewed.
