I am also willing to give Jon Jones the benefit of the doubt and say that this was the first time he cheated. Because I am smart.

I think it's interesting how many posters seem to be 100% confident which fighters are clean and which fighters were dirty for what portion of their careers prior to USADA, as though it has some magical infallible testing protocols that most people immediately stopped doping for or will get caught in a matter of time if they didn't. I definitely agree lots of fighters were dirty and now after USADA there are fewer fighters who are dirty (or at least AS dirty) but it's still a completely speculative crap shoot. Remember that Cro Cop blatantly admitted to using HGH to recover from an injury and then retiring before he could be sanctioned and then all of his tests came back clean.

ROUND 2 Georges: Nate looks tired. Conor is in superb physical condition. Conor: [Inefficiently de-energizes, gives up his back, and dies] Nate: [Is not surprised]

I think Diaz vs Lawler 2 is the fight to make and probably the fight that will get made, regardless of Robbie and Nick's reservations about it.

I am not 100% sure which fighters are clean and i dont think the tests are magical, i know its possible to beat the tests, so i think thats all the more reason it should be a big deal if someone is careless or unlucky enough to fail a test. It should be a good deterrent. The "everyone is on something anyway" thing when someone fails a test is not true and just covers for people who get caught cheating

I think a journalist asked them about it once, and they shook their heads in disgust and Nick called the question "loving retarded." As a speculative exercise, Nick is way bigger than Nate and he specializes more in infighting, and Nate doesn't really have the footwork to keep him outside or circle out when he presses. Nick would probably trap Nate against the cage and batter him.

The Exchange interview with Nate Diaz that just went up on Fight Pass is really cool. Everyone should check it out. Nate and Conor are perfect foils for each other to create a great narrative and story going into their fights. Conor is the one who calculates everything, practices all of his lines in the mirror before every press conference, and probably truly believes he can move up and down between three different weight classes and can't be defeated by anyone at any of those weight classes. Nate is the dude who hardly plans anything, except maybe that post fight call out speech of Conor, and is always just acting like himself in his interviews and press conferences. He accepts that he might get knocked out before all of his fights and that anyone can lose to anyone in MMA. He just goes out there and tries to do his best. threeagainstfour fucked around with this message at 18:01 on Aug 2, 2016 |

I think Woodley is alright. To come off of a year and a half of not fighting and knocking a dude out like he did is impressive.

It's insanely win and good to tell the champ he needs to rack up a few wins before he's ready to take you on.
