I'm on board for that Question for the thread - are there any good books on Australian race relations in a modern context generally? I've got a friend in the states asking about how ATSI peoples, immigration and 'boat people', changing attitudes towards Asia and China all fit together and I can only kinda

This sort of knee jerk reaction isn't always the answer in my opinion. We absolutely get bashed senseless daily by bad opinions and lovely takes, but Ive known him my whole life. If you find a viable answer, I'm all ears. It's a common problem that I haven't really heard a good solution for yet. Especially regarding that exhaustion in trying to engage in good faith with very dicey and dog-whistle-y 'articles' etc, that's something I'm very familiar with.
