I thought Gigi had a really fun take on the lip sync and her performance overall was really good! But it's hard to stack up to someone who's doing the full drag lipsync experience, stunts and reveals and everything. Widow is such a powerhouse performer, I'm really excited to see what else she can bring. I've been sick of bucking and stunts for a while tbh, unless it's someone who is a clearly professional dancer and brings it to another level, or like Kennedy doing that sick flip onto a box in All Stars, or Aja's 'is she going to jump from there??'. I think both lip syncs were great for being two different styles, but the only thing that really wowed me of Widow's was her bringing in that double jointed poo poo. That was interesting and fun and uncomfortable all at once. Nothin' wrong with liking one over the other, in either direction. I thought Gigi was great but Widow clearly won if only for keeping a consistent energy through the whole thing. Gigi did a lot of walking with not much else to back it up-- but when she camped it up, it was gooood imo. Especially since she's the last queen I would have expected a comedy lip sync from, it was a nice surprise. Guilty posted:This is a super white take on it. One thing I loved about Widow's tricks was that the leg one was actually a cute optical illusion. Still can't wait to hear of some fan hurting themselves trying it...

My only complaint of the episode is Gigi didn't make a snow angel when she was on the floor. For the interested: Vicki Vox has a podcast called Doing Great! and she had Willam as a guest. Listening to them kiki and reminisce is very sweet.

Goddamn, it's actually so heartwarming that Vox and Willam are cool enough now to sit down and chat! Loving the first act of ep 2. None of my favorite queens per the MTQ videos were in this bunch, so I had low expectations. Happily surprised so far! And goddamn Jaida is a gorgeous person. Yeah it's because everyone was bi phobic, that's why. It had nothing to do with the fact that a 19 year old kid who'd never even been to or seen a drag show live was trying for the crown. The only good thing Scaredy did was her sign off line which was the best sign off in the shows history

I mostly agree that scardey was poo poo but would like to also append that with ‘I just poo poo myself’ was the only good line from that awful first mini challenge. I don't think that even bothered Willam - I got the impression it was more that Willam was handling booking and finances to such a degree that Vox and Detox suspected they were getting shafted (though I don't think this was the case, but Willam did profit more off their music due to songwriter credit). Something in there about a gig in Israel too that I forget the details of, started as a group event but ended up a solo booking? I listen to too much Willam and Willam-adjacent media.
