My league had an early draft and oof my starting pitching has been just getting beat to hell since then. Zac Gallen and Robbie Ray on the IL, Shohei Ohtani, Sixto Sanchez starting the season late probably. And that's not even getting into the guys I did know were beat up when I took them like Nate Pearson and Luis Severino. so I added David Peterson from the Mets out of desperation the other day and now the Mets first two games are postponed at least. Wow I have 7 inactive SP

I actually had six starting pitchers going yesterday (no overlapping arms in either league). I finished the day with 0 wins and ERAs of 5.94 and and 5.83. I got one save, but that was balanced off with a blown save. I had a few hitters go 0-for-5 at the plate (Manny Machado in both leagues, even as the Padres racked up 8 runs). Things can only get better because they can't get much worse!

It seems like Colome has a more solid hold on that job than Baldelli made it sound like it was gonna be. I'd probably rank them Colome Merryweather Kimbrel Montero Holland and I may put Kimbrel over Merryweather just in terms of "They're the closer" status. On the other hand, one of them is throwing 100 on a high-offense team.

I added Jesse Hahn as the potential Royals closer and it seems like not many people are doing so (only 4% rostered). But the Royals have had one save situation and he got the ball, and there was no reason for Greg Holland not to get the opportunity. Holland hadn't pitched in the 4 days previous but was also healthy and started warming up once Hahn allowed a baserunner. That they put him on the IL immediately before getting an MRI is really bad, and yeah not hearing anything makes me think it's the kind of hamstring problem that leaves him out for 5-6 weeks at a minimum. He was the only guy performing for me.
