And about half of those lines are not changing, or will have a single word changed. But it is a 60's pop-rock song so the embarrassment of me attempting to hit the high notes should make up for it.

I got a spooky story that I feel I need to tell, So just sit right back and be scared as hell It's a Halloween story I bet you've never heard It's so creepy and weird and a bit absurd. It's about a jack o'lantern that wasn't named jack, It wasn't even a lantern as a matter of fact It was round and orange, and ready to carve, But if you needed to eat it you would probably starve I had my carving tools ready with a plan in mind, To make the best jack o'lantern that was one of a kind! It was gonna be fantastic, the absolute best, Until I hit a snag and failed an easy test... The gourd I picked out after hitting the bong, Seemed the right one but it was really all wrong, My target to carve wasn't a pumpkin at all, In my pot addled state I picked a basketball! here is is my entry. I wish I was a guy with an electric guitar, I'd do a punk version but I"m not so we get folk instead idk if this counts because I wrote it a long time ago but this seems like a good place to share it  I'm not exactly thrilled with the quality here but there is no one to blame but myself and really just wanted to stop procrastinating. don't be like me kids!
