I can fully recommend The Bird and the Bee's album Interpreting the Masters Vol. 1 A Tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates:

And I can fully recommend the entire rest of their discography. Really they're the most incredibly consistent musicians. Just open them on YouTube and play them all, all 100 songs or whatever. The odd synth noises they can make give incredible color to whatever other task you're doing. I can't think of Terraria anymore without hearing their music in the background by association of discovering both around the same time, and if they can steal the show from Terraria's crazy good funny noise music then that's saying a lot.

Interestingly, they were not as consistent when I saw them in concert last week. They did a show for the pre-midterms volunteer rally in LA. I think it was planned very last minute and they didn't have their normal equipment or people with them at all. But the other performers there who weren't headlining it knocked it out of the park. Anyway Bird and the Bee is a band that thrives more with quiet recording rooms that can hear a whisper, and carefully edited pre-recorded perfection.

Also gotta recommend Princess Chelsea's entire discography on YouTube, especially this video, which I believe is the best art of the century so far at capturing the mood of where we might be headed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofdIoTU8wA4

Finally, there's Melanie Martinez who we found recently, with really great songs but she only sings about incredibly dark topics in womens' issues (complete with cutesy dollhouse imagery) so it doesn't fit here.

Darling Nikka.
I made an eclectic list of favorites in reverse chronological order. Let's travel back in time through musical history...

*Bonus: Hildegard wrote extensively on natural science, too! Let's see what she had to say on the subject of medicine... (For full effect, please read while listening to this)
"It happens that certain men suffer diverse illnesses. This comes from the phlegm which is superabundant within them. For if man had remained in paradise, he would not have had the flegmata within his body, from which many evils proceed, but his flesh would have been whole and without dark humor [livor]. However, because he consented to evil and relinquished good, he was made into a likeness of the earth, which produces good and useful herbs, as well as bad and useless ones, and which has in itself both good and evil moistures. From tasting evil, the blood of the sons of Adam was turned into the poison of semen, out of which the sons of man are begotten. And therefore their flesh is ulcerated and permeable [to disease]. These sores and openings create a certain storm and smoky moisture in men, from which the flegmata arise and coagulate, which then introduce diverse infirmities to the human body. All this arose from the first evil, which man began at the start, because if Adam had remained in paradise, he would have had the sweetest health, and the best dwelling-place, just as the strongest balsam emits the best odor; but on the contrary, man now has within himself poison and phlegm and diverse illnesses."
