Its kinda hard for me to hate the 49ers. The bears have stomped them plenty in the last couple decades. It wasnt all one sided, but the bears wins were memorable. Mike brown in 01, the wind game in 05, the torrential downpour a couple years ago. My dad and his friends loving hate(d) the 9ers because of a few playoff losses to them in the 80s.

I only went to a single Bears game as a kid, and it was that 01 game :unsmith:

I've never hated the 49ers, but I'm tempted to put them on the list based solely on that one Twitter post that thought the Lions front office wearing #89 jerseys in the draft room was specifically to troll them over signing Brock Wright's RFA offer sheet.

I mean, it kind of was. And it was awesome.

WOKE UP IN THE DESERT AGAIN
Hating regular season opponents is beneath the Packers.

Here's the Hate list:

49ers. That's it.

Honorable Mentions: NYG, SEATTLE

AZ gets a pass on their last playoff win because Nate Poole still deserves respect on his name.

ATL's hate-pass is still good for at least another playoff win only because Michael Vick decided he wanted to kill dogs instead of owning Lambeau in the snow for a couple decades and that's a goddamn football tragedy in addition to being a dog tragedy. They can have 1 more playoff win without rancor because that'd be like if Brett Favre decided to criminally swindle Mississippi in '96 instead of waiting for retirement. But if he also killed dogs.

No hate for the Eagles because I once saw Fred Ex on a reality dating show tell his date about 4th and 23 and I lol'd out loud and then got to tell my date unimpressed wife about 4th and 23.

Almost every fan of the Chicago Bears thinks like that. When the best QB you've ever seen play for your team is Jay Cutler, you read the room

The room was middle linebacker. At no point, before cutler, did any bears fan have hope for even mediocre qb play. Grossman and orton were not good, but they were the best after kramer which was 10 years prior to them. It was pretty normal to take bathroom breaks as soon as the offense hit the field. Sometimes youd be lucky to get back before the defense was back on.

I mean, it'd be on the high end, for Roschon especially since Swift is gonna be getting a lionshare of the reps. but Waldron's RB's had like 68 catches last year.

Why? I think he has only had one season ending injury and has occasionally missed a game here or there when he could have played but didnt because they were out of contention (like definitely happened last year)

I was cool with them drafting the punter. This should be such a massive improvement over last season that it'll benefit the defense a lot.

Some clever special teams coach is gonna crack the new kickoff return before the season is over.

And if it looks something like Justin Fields slingin it around, throwing a block, and then running a pitch-back in for a score on a consistent basis,

Well that'd be real good and nobody can dare say otherwise.

.. if for no reason other than nobody wants to see Russell Wilson run an offense ever again
