I saw the 1000mods gig and I didn't mind the few songs I listened to; I'm on the fence about going. Do you know how they go live?

Laserface
Dec 24, 2004

I'm not really going for them, but I generally enjoy most bands shared here in a live setting even if the records don't grab me.

Wasn't a big yob fan til I saw them live and then it clicked (and booooy did that click)

Earthless is a goddamn blast live

Just shredding nonstop. Mario's drumkit was center stage when I saw them, it was crazy

Laserface
Dec 24, 2004

the last time I saw earthless was nearly 10 years ago when they toured with Elder, and I was not a big psychedelic fan then and they were touring on the back of a new album.

All I want is Sonic Prayer and I'll be happy.

I tried with their latest but I just cannot get past the affectation on the clean vocals. Everything elder works but dudes vocal style just kills it for me.

Weeping Choir and Garden of Burning Apparitions (their most recent two) are absolute monster records. Trumpeting Ecstasy and Rudiments of Mutilation are both really good too, but their improvement has been steady.

They did not. I don't think the venue was big enough for that kind of stuff. It was really good without any of that extra poo poo anyway

And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
