My neighbor: Older Infiniti G37. Was stock blue with a stick-on carbon fiber looking gt stripe down the center, which stopped too short on the rear hatch. He decided to fizzcan the car matte black. Didn't mask anything off (oversprayed everything, windows, lights) and didn't bother to remove the stripe. Oh, and he didn't paint the roof. edit: license plate

Saw this douche in front of me on 95 in Maryland. In case you can't read the two bumper stickers, the one says "Libertarian" and the other says 'Who is John Galt?" I think that should be enough for you to figure out his license plate.

This car wash turned out to be pretty rough and unpleasant and it folded my driver's side mirror in, I certainly won't be using it again, but that doesn't explain the oddly specific warning.

I'm surprised it doesn't mention anything about wiper arms. When I worked for avis we had to gun it in the carwash when the horizontal roller was near the windshield. Otherwise it actually tore the wiper arms (not just the wiper blade) completely off the car. I also remember the fan control dials coming off on brand new ones. ~~GM Quality~~ (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

To make up for several image-lacking pictures from me in the last few pages, I give you this. Title: "why the gently caress do I try to educate stupid loving ohioan hicks on facebook groups full of idiots" Note: Daniel Isaacs is a loving idiot. Click the next few for a big version. This shows the "45 degree brackets" he added to "fix" the problem. They won't fix it. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother trying.

Yup, 1/4 steel plate under tension and welded by an amateur, that'll hold it all together. More "welding":

I love how little understanding that kid has of even basic engineering principles. I never studied it but I've seen enough professionally designed products to know that a bit of poo poo-plate metal sticking out at 90 degrees isn't going to take much of a beating before collapsing at the worst possible moment. It'd be dangerous on a car that never experiences any real load on a perfectly flat road but beating it off-road? Wow. I need to learn how to weld because I'm pretty sure that even blind I could do a better job than most idiots.

kastein posted:This shows the "45 degree brackets" he added to "fix" the problem. They won't fix it. I love how he tried to understand what you meant by adding in the gussets but put them in the absolute wrong place. That would be much more solid if they were just placed up top, right? I can't believe a flat plate of 1/4" or whatever that is sticking out at 90* will last longer than a bump or two before it breaks at the weld. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Yup. When what I meant was two simple strips, placed vertically and parallel to the axle housing, so they take the load from the top of the plate and transfer it to the top of the frame rail. Those 45 degree bits he booger welded on would also be quite effective if he had, say, put them vertically and just fore/aft of the spring perch, instead of uselessly far away on the ends of the top plate. Ideally you'd do both, but nope, he half assed one method. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink... he will learn the hard way because he is an obstinate, willfully ignorant redneck. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

The 12th man hysteria is taking over all the bro trucks here. This idiot was trying to roll coal at every stop light too. All it's missing is a pile of gaudy flags hanging off the window. Not pictured, the pile of 12th man decals on the side windows and the windshield.

Please don't bring back rules like this just because of some bickering or whatever the hell was going on earlier.
