If you can match your woodlands.jpg camouflage with the perfect background, the results can be pretty impressive.

Also useless, as many animals are colourblind and you might as well wear the day glo orange stuff and worry slightly less about being shot in the head by an overenthusiastic drunken lout with a gun, aka most hunters who buy that poo poo.

They're always so uniformly done too, like they have little concept of what a car would look like if left out in the elements for years and years.

Its actually kinda old.

All the cool, leading edge douchebags are now removing their hoods and sometimes all traces of its mounting hardware, filling hinge mount holes and cutting off drip edges

On the realtree poo poo, thats what i was referring too, seems to me the randomized camo or even digi-patterns are a gently caress of a lot more effective than woods.jpg plastered over everything.

But I guess you can't copy write a random pattern and sell it on iPhone cases.

Isn't there some kind of law requiring a hood so if you hit someone they're not horribly burned or getting things caught in the pulleys?

Most places, yes. Florida law requires one, and any forward-facing scoops or ducts cannot rise more than four inches off the surface.

That said, it's almost completely unenforced.

Why do people do this? Why?! Does it not already say "SRT8" and "Hemi" on the car a bajillion times? Why do people pay extra for an plate that says what is already very apparent?

I always assume these are people who are simultaneously really rich, really smug, and incredibly uncreative. It costs more to get a vanity plate, so obviously they need one, but they can't think of anything to put on it, so they just put the name of the car. As a bonus it is another location they can brag about how much their car cost. Win-win-win!

It doesn't explain the guy who I see driving around sometimes with "78 TR7" but there's always gonna be some exceptions I guess.

I remember a guy in our Supra club who had "87SUPRA" as his plate. It was like, duh? Why did you spend money on that?

There was a guy around here with something like "waltsvette" that used to be on his C3 Vette....Put he sold the car at one point and it was on a Neon.

I'd saw quite the downgrade, but C3 to Neon was probably a lateral move.

Best one I have seen was on a Neon, coincidentally...A SRT-4 with 0RWHP.

Wow, ours is $200 plus the usual registration fees on top of that. It might even be higher now because they did a plate price hike.

I've always wanted to take out a plate for a car that doesn't exist yet, like "17WRX" and then put it on the wrong car in order to infuriate people until then.

Here's a Subaru concept which could probably go in both threads:

Yeah that's bothering me too. I thought it was a re-purposed pickup top at first but they all have a door in the back. There has to be a one on the other side, like every other rv-ish camper. Maybe you just open the rear passenger door and walk up some steps :catdrugs:
