10 is a more traditional turn based system with a focus on managing and manipulating turn order and I really liked it. 12 went in a slightly MMOish direction with its combat that some people like and some don't. 13 had the ATBish system with switching classes on the fly being a focus. 15 is just a real time action system.

I feel like 10's basically the gold standard for straight-forward turn-based systems. There's no time pressure from ATB bars or anything but the variable turn orders and weighted actions makes things a lot more interesting and flowing than a typical Dragon Quest-style "pick your whole party's actions at once, then everyone takes their turn with order determined by agility" sort of affair.

The only time I had to start making real combat decisions in 13 other than when to switch paradigms were in the post end game meme difficulty fights

My favorite thing about We Can't Study is that the characters have lifestyles AND motivations AND personalities, and none of these traits are used as a substitute for each other. It's not groundbreaking, but it's very solid characterization for a kinda fluffy romcom. Also, yes, Nariruka 4 lyf.
