I want Witcher 3 on Switch, I don't even care if they have to downres it to poo poo and get rid of half the visual effects and ground clutter. I haven't gotten around to it yet and I'm a thousand times more likely to actually play it on a portable.

So I was at the mall today grabbing a cup of coffee when I decided to play a little game with myself. You see, I very badly want a Nintendo Switch, but I really, really shouldn't be spending the money. I can, of course, afford to, but I'm trying to have this credit card paid in full before the interest kicks in in January. It wouldn't be an incredible burden, but it would uptick my monthly payments. But, that being the case, I figured I'd make a declaration. It's 7 o'clock on a Wednesday. I have in no way planned this. Made no calls ahead. I'm going to walk into Gamestop and ask if they have any. If they say yes, I'll buy it. But there is simply no way they'll have one... I have never before felt this bizarre mix of elation and annoyance.

Overtop drops in Europe tomorrow definitely so I'd be surprised if the US Switch doesn't get it too. If you like those old school overhead racing games at all Overtop can be pretty addictive, but if not it might be a skip. Something sad about Overtop is that the soundtrack is kind of lovely and also chintzy sounding for an ADK developed game. They didn't have their usual dream team of Yuka Watanabe/etc. on the music and it shows.  It's not *BAD* but like if you played anything else by ADK ever it's like, what?ADK did another similar racing game before Overtop called Thrash Rally/Riding Hero. Arcade Archives got Samurai Shodown 1 and the PS4 and Switch, and that's a great game, but I'm also hoping SS2 happens soon from them since they just recently completed getting all of SNK's first installments of their series out and just dropped Fatal Fury 2 last week. So Samurai Shodown 2 seems inevitable in the next couple of months. I just hope they put it on PS4 AND Switch since there's sill a few games exclusive to each and everyone should get a chance to play Samurai Shodown 2 because it rules.
