Question for Dr Swickles:

I've noticed that when I'm doing any cardio, my heart rate will be good for a period of time, then spike through the end. For example, tonight on the stair climber, I was at a decent, consistent HR for 6ish minutes, then it just shot up 40bpm for the remainder. No pain or anything, just noticed the increase when looking at the Garmin report. Absolutely no change in pace or anything.

Am I dying? :ohdear:

There is a point you can improve it, but eventually genetics is king.

There is a reason rich froning was so untouchable at crossfit.

Yeah, that is the one downside to contract work...you only get paid for the time you are there. I went through that last year and while it sucked being the only person in the office those holidays, it kinda owned because you could do whatever the hell you want take a 2 hour lunch and leave early.
