I am looking for an artist who specialised in defacing other peoples paintings, usually religious ones. He would turn nuns into devils or lizards and draw red crosses over everything. I'm going back a long way here, perhaps 15 years or more.

I remember reading through this thread twice and never asking, so I hope I haven't missed this: there was a thread a goon posted about being a criminal from like, fourteen or fifteen, and how he organized a group of kids into a crime ring. They would case neighborhoods together, and sometimes someone random would find their way into the group and screw poo poo up. During one of these adventures they robbed a truck and he almost got caught. He even mentioned that during runs where they got jack poo poo, he would bust in a window and steal pocket change because he was in a lovely mood. I've actually tried searching several times and I was unable to find the thread. Many thanks in advance.

This one shouldn't be too hard, but I can't seem to find it. Basically this one guy went around to a bunch of sites with this script for a Zelda movie and claimed he was going to have Hollywood actors and all sorts of ridiculous stuff. Eventually some people on a forum got so fed up with the guy that they actually made a full movie. It had Link, Zelda, Majora's Mask, and a really well animated Ganon in it. Does anyone know what that movie is called? It isn't that old I believe. I saw I a few years ago.

You are undoubtedly talking about Joe_Cracker's The Light of Courage: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 The whole, insane lead-up was recorded here for our enjoyment and/or pain. Also, Joe_Cracker himself (or at least a sufficiently convincing doppelganger) was in fact a member of our delightful forums.

I've been looking for a while for a site I remember that just showed a series of cute animal pictures. I recall its url was something about not being sad or becoming happy or something like this and I remember the url structure had /### at the end so you could link specific ones. The site was remarkably plain and effective but I can't for the life of me remember the url. Google has not helped either :-/

Okay, so I saw this music video on youtube a couple of years ago and it has haunted me ever since. It started out with what looked like 2D paper cutouts of a mom and kid on some landscape, but the mom was stolen by some type of monster or something. After that it got really trippy and 3D, I strongly remember the kid riding on something that looked like a giant walking turnip that had a mouth, but not much more than that. Hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about.

I used to have this CD-ROM with like 70 games on it (several scorched earth variants, ski free, a very fun magic wand game, and...) Does anyone remember this crazy horror RPG DOS game? You could go around and pick up matches and other poo poo but we could never figure out what to do but eventually we'd go into the bathroom and there would sometimes be a bloody dead body in the bathtub and my sister would cry and we'd have to quit. Also the previously mentioned magic wand game...you would be able to steal the pattern (ladders, steel blocks, bricks?) and turn other non-metal blocks into them. All the while you'd be chased around by some really colorful crabs. edit: here is the magic wand game: http://www.dosgames.com/ss.php?filename=fgodmom.gif Wojtek fucked around with this message at 21:06 on Oct 26, 2010 |

There was some RPG-esque thing that you'd download and just run in the background on your computer and it would progress by itself. All you did was maybe choose a name and start it. Anyone know the name/source?

I'm looking for a music video for a product called "Veint" (I can not remember how to spell it, could be Veindt, Vint, etc.) Veint is a body butter. It starts off with two guys in a car talking about how Veint is really blowing up. The dialog goes like Man #1 - Man this veint stuff is really blowing up, seems like everyone wants veint. Man #2 - I think we need to take Veint to the next level. Man #1 - I'm from motown! Man #2 - And I'm from Saint Louis! Then the music video begins, a soulful song about Veint Life. A rapper shows up midway through and raps about it. It looks very low budget and goes on for way too long but it really makes me happy and I can not find it. Help!

I have been looking for this video forever, and considering how crazy the subject matter is I would think it would be easier to find. I saw it on youtube a couple years ago and it was about how some scientist had created software that would take low resolution video and high resolution stills and combine them to create high resolution video. It did so automatically with 2d stills and video, no freaky 3d poo poo. The software also allows you to 'see through' people that are in the frame as well, provided you took stills without them being in it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can find this, I've been searching for it all morning.

I'm rather hopelessly looking for a science fiction short story. It's about a man who constructed a penteract, looked inside and saw a tiny world, and immediately had his eye shot out. In retaliation he grabs a hot poker from his fireplace and stabs the penteract with it. Days later a phenomenon appears in the sky resembling a giant eye, to which the military responds by firing a missile at it. And the story ends with the sky being blotted out by a slowly descending hot poker. It's been like twelve years since I've read this story and I'm driving ymself crazy trying to find it again. Anyone have an idea whats it's called? Ninja edit: It might have been a tesseract he constructed but can't find any real results with either search term.

If it helps, this sounds very much like the inspiration for The Simspons: Treehouse of Horror VII (the one where Lisa grows a miniature world on a tooth). Can't find any sites that draw the parallel, though.
