Triumph of the Will isn't scary because it's about nazis. It's scary because it's a great film that realizes the power of propaganda and utilizes that to poison the idea of nationalistic pride and turns it into... well... World War II.

To take the sting off of just watching Reifenstahl's work, you should also watch the new Netflix doc Five Came Back, then watch a selection of the five filmmakers works (Capra, Ford, Wyler, Huston, and George Stevens) to get both sides of the coin. Capra's films during that period were in direct response to being overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing Triumph for the first time and it's interesting to go back and rewatch his films with that in mind.

I was actually thinking about that comic just now and realized. In my head, Namor, the Sub-Mariner, ruler of all Atlantis and the realms beneath the waves... is voiced by Gilbert Gottfried.
