No weld, no lock bolt or stake, nothing. I seem to recall a couple people here lunched their motors when it came loose and de-timed the engine.

That's the V8's that came in the next gen SHO. Most of them are probably welded by now.

No way that SHO gets that kind of mileage. I was lucky to get 25mpg on a three hour highway trip.

That car is in Canada, isn't it? He probably meant 33kpg.

He is probably using UK MPG. Which a lot of people use to inflate what they're actually getting since most canadians are more familiar with US gallons. I still doubt it gets 27MPG though. More people should use L/100km in canada so there is no confusion. Looking at fuelly, it might not make a good daily if it uses that much fuel. He has sent me really angry derogatory messages for going on a week now.

VideoTapir posted:Do people actually do that? Or are they just lying? I guess canada used to use imperial gallons, but now everything is done in L/100km. People sometimes use US MPG, sometimes use imperial MPG in ads. Not that either matters since anyone who says it gets a certain mileage in ads is a dirty loving liar. I usually use fuelly and subtract about 1L/100km off the average to get what my mostly highway driving will result in.

I've seen a lot of propane cars, but I've never seen a turbo propane car. Must be some kind of boost-referenced flow regulator. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/calgary/88-ford-ranger-2-3-l-turbo/571629508?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true Bonus for Mr. Horsepower!

Pham Nuwen posted:Possible gold? I checked it out. The pickup was fine, but: 1. The "clean title" was, in fact, the applicant's copy of an application for new title. Wrong kind of pink slip, guys... 2. He said it had a smog certificate, and it sure did--for a failed test 3. It was on a non-op. If the paperwork wasn't all hosed, I'd have probably bought it. As it is, there's no way in hell. Best moment: Before I saw the paperwork fuckery, I was kind of vacillating and the guy says, "Well there's a guy who looked at it yesterday and he's going to come pick it up tonight if you don't buy it". After I see the paperwork and say gently caress no, he wants to know if I'd buy it if it passed smog. Didn't put the two statements together until I was heading home, no chance for a clever retort.
