Screw making the android waifus, simple star wars style droids are where its at: you can just make a handful of those guys. They can do most things moderately well except art, negotiation etc, never sleep and never need social. Makes supply chains a breeze and you don't feel bad when one gets destroyed. They actually make sense in the game and the android factions generally the goodie two shoes types except with glow in the dark eyes, nary a maid costume in sight.

Research tables go slower if outside the wrong temperature band, and if you're in a relatively temperate climate you can get heat waves in the summers that are too hot and cold snaps in the winters that are too cold.

Also if you hadn't tried it before note that there's an option to only unlock one of the gods which makes it much more interesting. Having all of them is insanely busted.

In the Tiberium mod, is there a way to wall in Tiberium without doing some fancy research? I had a green one land early in the game and I don't want it to ruin the map. Is there a way to eventually purge the Tiberium or is that ground lost forever? This is my first time with the mod and I'm not sure if I should just roll a new game.

Green tiberium can be walled in with natural stone and I don't think it even damages built walls. It's the blue and red that are nasty and start destroying walls, corrupting stone and spreading over rough stone. If you go GDI there is eventually technology to eradicate tiberium soil. Not sure if Nod gets that or not. For spawners that land early and are going to ruin your map just put a bit of the old ultra violence on them. Blow up the spawner like it was a poison ship or whatever and then have someone with tiberium protective gear harvest every single last crystal, pod, anything. Put up an orders grid and click on every single square to see if there's any invisible 5% crystals that would keep spreading/growing. Once you've blown up the spawner and removed every single last trace of tiberium the tiberium soil left over doesn't spawn anything itself.

I never bothered trying with green Speaking of Tiberium, is there any drawback to taking Tiberium Infusion? I had all my pawns immune to Tiberium from a couple lucky traders before ever needing protection suits.

A ton of interesting mods just updated and I was wanting to do the single god thing so I think I'm going to retire Goatwood. Right, here's the deal: - Zero metal, chunks, and blocks on the map PERIOD (no ruins, no shrines, no ores, no chunks, no nothin) - All starting pawns are min age (only one profession) and minimal skills, although with useful and/or fun traits like brawler, but omg these are some terrible stereotype teenagers - Desert Archipelago (in practice this is the same as arid shrubland, a lot of soil but very little wood) - Year-round growing season but hot enough for Heat Wave, cold enough for Cold Snap You can tell the skills with red boxes are the really lovely ones And oh yes our leader is a tribal princess who will sit around and bitch about being forced to carry a bag of rice from time to time Added Tribal Essentials so it's actually kinda possible to do this (e.g. you can't build a research table without steel, you can set a 'research spot' where you basically sit there in the dirt and think real hard) as well as a hilarious sounding baby maker mod I miss that from DF, having babies fall down wells and other dramatic moments.
