My sniping is getting better. Using glass prom with hh which maybe explains how upon review I shot at someone's crotch and it registered as a head shot

You don't *need* a team until you get to endgame stuff like nightfall, raids, or hardcore PVP anyway, everything else is matchmade.

Also I recommend when you get to 40 to get an app called Ishtar Commander or use a chrome extention called Destiny Item Manager; the game obfuscates some numbers on guns and armor and both of those lift the fog a little. DIM even uses math on your armor for you to get an optimal loadout.

Yeah, standard tips: -Always take as many bounties as you can find and carry -Rely on the quest tab in the inventory screen to guide you to new stuff and rewards -Pledge to a faction as soon as it lets you -Don't try PVP until you have most of a subclass unlocked and blue or better gear in every slot -Try to ignore the story until you get into TTK content and beyond

For those who haven't actually played a new character in a while don't forget they completely redid the Vanilla and TDB plot structure when they questified the missions. They lumped all the fallen, hive, vex and cabal missions under respective quest chains and it's slightly more coherent.
