The "ETA" they're talking about is referring to the economy 3 series engine of the day. Quite the slug no matter if there's an lsd or not. The posting even refers to it as 325es which wasn't a model designation iirc.

My E30 is the same model year, just white instead of red.

Besides being lightweight, I've heard that crxes also have a large engine bay and it makes it easy for motor swaps. I think the most common I've heard is an Integra motor.

A CRX HF clocks in around 1800 pounds, and it is dirt easy to fit a b16/b18/k20 whatever in them. It is a cheap way to play Honda legos and build an engine. Most people rice it out, put a CAI and ebay exhuast on and call it a day.
