An actual complaint I've seen on Reddit: You can't be white enough. The lightest skin tone is still too dark for a lot of people. I've seen the word SJW thrown around in threads because of this.

Wouldn't you know it, when a project gets delayed multiple times, several high-profile people quit halfway through development, predatory super deluxe pre-orders are monetized, and gameplay videos are hidden from the public until the very last minute, it usually isn't because the studio has a great game on their hands that they just have to keep secret for fear of spoiling the fans.

I've played about 5 hours now. Problems in this thread have been seriously overblown. Game is fine. I dunno if I'll pay $72 canadian dollars for it right away, but it's a mass effect game and good.

4 hours in. I'm whelmed. It isn't a bad game, but so far it is aggressively generic and sterile. (prologue) There hasn't been a HOLY poo poo WHAT WAS THAT moment like at the end of Eden Prime, but they sure tried (and failed). One positive thing is that the character creator ended up being better than expected after seeing those preview screenshots earlier. It's not powerful but the results can be pretty good. If the game stays at this level, it'll be a good timesink, but it won't be in the same conversation as Horizon or Nier or Zelda (or even Nioh).
