Does anyone still have that screenshot someone in this thread took of like, /pol/ posting their sexual orientation / gender identity and politics? IIRC a ton of them were like "well I'm gay but I don't act on it because it's degenerate so I've just vowed myself to celibacy for the good of the white race." What a bizarre group of people

In fairness, I was amalgamating several of his things - I don't think he ever actually had a character gently caress his own daughter, only a younger lady clone, the entire plot of All You Zombies (which owns), women half his age, being in the body of a women a fifth his age, twelve-year-old girls, and a thing for redheads and cousin-level incest.

Heinlein had a lot of poo poo going on. His highs are high and his lows are really low.

(and yes he definitely deserves to be on that list for interracial alone because it turns out he was an rear end in a top hat for a bunch of reasons but as far as I know racism was never one)

We must be thinking of a different Heinlein.

Perhaps we could have figured this out about the Bugs by noting the grief the Chinese Hegemony gave the Russo-Anglo-American Alliance; however the trouble with 'lessons from history' is that we usually read them best after falling flat on our chins.

At 30% it is a part of a balanced pornography diet.

Unfortunately racists have ruined most sorts of porn. Trying to get porn with people of two different races that doesn't have some weird racist undertone is practically impossible because white nationalists keep commissioning cuck porn that they claim to hate.

idiots who want to defend the alt-right from accusations of homophobia tend to be all like "Well 4Chan is basically an LGBT support group" but the one transwoman I ever knew who used it that way was a self-loathing basket case with a serious case of internalized transphobia who spent half her time yelling at other people for DARING to not be sure what gender they identified, and the other half drinking too much and abusing her girlfriend.

Her girlfriend is now in a healthier, better relationship and none of us talk to her anymore.

Dumber than that - he wrote it because he was pissed off that Eisenhower had suspended nuclear testing, which of course was clearly a sign of weakness that led to the inevitable victory of the communist hordes.

Yes, I know, I read it several times when I was a kid. I still managed to enjoy reading it because, weirdly enough, I enjoyed reading something I ended up not agreeing with, even at the time. I enjoyed the attempt at creating a society and read it through a lens of "how would someone from this society describe their own society and try to sell it to a modern reader" (I compared it to The Moon is a Harsh Mistress a lot in my head.) I still don't understand why people have decided that its impossible to derive pleasure from reading something even if you aren't "converted". I basically read it as a thought experiment and enjoyed it on those terms. I should probably re-read it and see how I feel, because I was admittedly a teenager, but still.

Same. Personally I thought it was fun to try to figure out something about an author when he swings wildly between revolutionary ancap moon colonies that require unprecedented AI power to "function", an ode to fascist militarism, and an exploration of free love communes and a new religion. Comparing and contrasting those is pretty great, and I'm not sure that Heinlein was ever 100% endorsing any of the societies he lays out in any of those books.
