Does anyone still have that screenshot someone in this thread took of like, /pol/ posting their sexual orientation / gender identity and politics? IIRC a ton of them were like "well I'm gay but I don't act on it because it's degenerate so I've just vowed myself to celibacy for the good of the white race." What a bizarre group of people

I make no presumptions about that model because she's just a person doing a job. But attractive young women in over-sized glasses leaning up against a giant packman projection feel like the sophisticated version of scam letters deliberately including grammatical errors because it weeds out people who are less likely to fall for the scam.

Every time I bring up Starship Troopers someone goes "well I don't agree with its politics, but I still enjoyed it" and I don't want to like, tell those people they were wrong to enjoy it, but I do kinda wanna know HOW they enjoyed it, because that book is 5% actual warfare and 95% your conservative uncle lecturing you There's nothing TO enjoy, without the politics

to me ST is one of the best examples of Poe's Law. It cuts so close to the bone that if all you go by is the work itself you are left vacillating about whether it is the best of parodies or a heinous serious work. The best of satire.
