Are you me? I have exactly the same one except I've been in this flat for a bit longer. Had its annual service last week and got the usual "we're rapidly running out of replacement parts so if anything breaks you're probably hosed" from the engineer. They're also horrifically inefficient compared to pretty much anything more modern so I've got a guy/gal coming tomorrow to give an estimate for replacing it. My wallet is already crying... Haha yeah mines needed 2 new thermocouples in the past 10 years, bout a, tenner each time but that's it. Runs fine mostly, central heating is playing up but i expect its the pump, not the actual boiler itself. I've saved up enough that i could afford to replace it but it would be so dumb to do it after 10 years unless its proper hosed. Just very weary of back boilers, the only place I've seen them outside my flat is my grandads house in the 90s! It would be nice to get rid of it and get rid of the cold and hot water tanks too. Maybe one day

It smells like poo poo and I'm fairly sure I get a headache from it, but all the detectors are fine and it's been serviced or whatever so... guess it's good.

Cats also like low voices so will sometimes oin the person with the lowest voice. But aye, a slow blink is sign of affection for cats. Sometimes cats can be overly aggressive for no reason, I've seen it a lot in cats who've had some sort of head trauma and one of their eyes can be a bit funny. Not their fault though, just funny cat brains.
