Even have a decent coat of paint and ok upholstery. Road trip? (Unless this particular model is worth so much, I'm not familiar with it.)

a creepy colon posted:Its definitely an econobox by its very nature and marketing but that doesnt mean it cant be fun! This was a time when a european economy car had an 850-1300cc engine. The capri was developed because ford's european branch was sore about not having a mustang equivalent, by marketing it was "the car you always promised yourself" and "it goes like lightning". What is it about having one of the biggest engines on the market, poo poo fuel economy and almost no practical use beyond racing on the M25 that screams "econobox" to you?

I guess Im coming from an American stand point because this describes just about every car made in the 60s-70s to me. The capri is an eco-box because it is a Ford Cortina with a different body.

I always do a double-take when I see a chrysler colt or starion, but then I remember what happened in Australia. Chrysler had a factory here until about 1980, making big chryslers and valiants, but near the end, mitsubishi galants and sigmas were popping up under the chrysler name here too. By the time Mitsubshi went FWD, chrysler packed up and went home, Mitsubishi took over the factory and started building the magna here, and importing that colt and the newer galants, lancers and mirages. Chrysler disappeared for a long time here (except jeeps), first cars they came back with was the neon, pt cruiser and voyager van in 1997, so they buggered off for over 10 years and came back with absolute trash. Most people would wish they stayed away, except for the 300c and voyager (no one else makes a half decent van any more so w/e), no one is a fan of their other cars/cuv/suvs or the dodge line up (e: which is just the Dodge Caravan, Calibre and Journey, nothing good like in the USA, not even a single truck ). ^^ Also you really should do a screen grab Not really. It's a 2+2 which is a big knock against, and while it appears all original I think I can see some cancer starting in the rear quarters and rockers.
