can you point me to one that is more casual and not super sweaty

Well radical red does have an "easy mode" but it's still pretty difficult compared to vanilla games.
There are so many rom hacks out there and its hard to be sure which ones are difficulty hacks or not. It would be fun to have one where you can just catch literally all the pokemon and not have the game be super difficult besides that. I'll look for one and report back

Ok so i found one called pokemon fire red 898 randomizer that seems good. I only played through brock but the only difference in his battle was he used dynamax but i still beat him easily because you can catch all the starters in route 1 so my bulbasaur and wartortle beat the crap out of him. A few other things i noticed is it gives grades for each stat indicating the ivs and it shows when an attack is super effective or not very effective which i love because i can never remember fairy type. Anyway i haven't played much but so far you can catch some rare kanto pokemon early on so I'm assuming the other gen pokes are further into the game. Oh and the randomizer is optional.

Dixville

I don't think!
Oh wait you have to randomize to get the new gen pokes according to the pokecommunity thread. But yeah they didn't change the gym battles it seems so it shouldn't be hard to play
Edit - gen 8 on route 1

is the solution to simply move the tip of the pyramid to another location, but upside down?

That's the solution I came up with too because it was worded a little bit differently in the book and I thought making a new pyramid fit the question. Turns out you can do it using all of the original pennies. You move the three corner pennies. The penny at the top moves to the bottom middle, that's going to be the new point facing down. Then the two bottom corners move up to the new top row and become the new top corners. It's kinda tricky to describe just in text. Another way to see it is if you remove the three corner pennies, the shape is symmetrical, so you can just put those pennies back to make a triangle pointing any way you want.

I had to make a new character in Dark Souls after ruining my first dude's stats. I made a fire magic specialist and started running through bosses with the upgraded close range blast thingy.

That's the only reason I made it nearly to the end. Never beat it though. I ran out of motivation after grinding through a couple of other extremely difficult bosses and then kinda just stopped playing.

It was fun to have a low-level super upgraded fire wizard that cartwheels around with a whip, even though they made it a garbage weapon. Still got a few people, especially with the "I'm just a random destroyable object" spell.

this looks cool as hell, but makes me wonder what the gently caress was going on with breath of the wild to not have a hookshot grapple tool.

also i was playing batman arkham city because my brother owns it and when batman says "grapnel gun" i had to stop and google what the gently caress he was even on about. guess i'm not a true bat-fan because even tho' "grapnel" has been used frequently in the comics it is fully the dumbest thing i have ever heard uttered in a video game, it makes batman seem like he has a speech impediment. also the grappling/gliding is much better in just cause, but i guess the fighting is okay.

i have started playing slay the spire finally, and i've enjoyed the second and third and fourth characters but the first one just kinda feels like garbage? idk maybe i'm just not getting the gimmick but it mostly seems "your cards are either mediocre or cost too much, you have regen but it's not nearly enough, you will probably die somewhere in the middle of act 2"

i beat act three with the other characters without much difficulty, the first one just doesn't work for me

great call on the axe, i cannot handle the long form of it quite yet though

axe looks strong but is kind of slow tbh ime. I think the cover art setup is the best on a first run (saw cleaver + blunderbuss)

saw = Charmander, axe = Squirtle, cane = Bulbasaur

If I was terrible at parrying and dodging in Dark Souls, will Bloodborne be even harder?

Like my main tactic is making GBS threads myself and rolling around until it's time to boop the bad guy. In DS1 anyway.

Man now I wanna play ninja gaiden black...

Farecoal

It's probably gonna be around the same level of difficulty. You're supposed to play a little more aggressively in Bloodborne than in Dark Souls.

I'm playing Demon's Souls (the PS3 version) and I really hate the Maneaters. Any boss where you can roll of a ledge by accident is a bad boss design imo

Maneaters defeated!!!!

If you aren't, try dodging into and through attacks, rather than away from them.

Demon's Souls: completed! I'd say I enjoyed it. Some creative if wildly varying in quality boss fights, not bad level design. I went through as a mage, like I did for all my first Souls playthroughs.

Congrats! When I originally played Demon's Souls I quit at the Maneater fight and sold the game to another goon. I bought it again years later and played all the way through but that fight was still pretty awful. The area is so easy to fall off and then you have to deal with two enemies that are large, it's a mess.

i played through RealMyst and it is waaaaaaaaaaay easier for me than Myst was when i was trying to figure it out at age 8 or so

in addition to just being more literate at puzzles, i also greatly appreciated the photo option so i didn't have to write things down, and having typical free movement instead of clicking to get from zone to zone made it a lot easier to keep track of things (especially with the pipes in the Channelwood age)

Dark Souls 2 was actually the first Souls game I beat, doing co-op with a friend the whole way. I don't remember 1 being that difficult with magic, but it's been awhile. Maybe doing 2 first let me get used to Souls combat

noice. imho Des is basically dark souls 0.1.0 in terms of execution I think, it's not as well balanced in terms of player weapons/abilities and boss fights. it's still a really good game though

Myst and The 7th Guest are two old school puzzle games that I would really love to play in VR.

Shivers (and its sequel), despite being a similar concept but with the neat ability to spin 360 degrees in every area, would actually be less fun. Because they had a quicktime element that required you to catch a monster or flee from a location if you noticed something amiss. It really sucked the fun out of the games. The sequel improved it a bit - the monsters were confined to a specific area of the map, but you still had the capture mechanics anyway.

Imagine one of those hidden object games, only VR, and all the objects in the room are fully 3d rendered and you can pick them up and move them around. Like, find the key, and you can look *around* the trophy, and there it is behind it! So push the trophy aside, and get the key.
Man, rifling through wardrobes in Skyrim would be so great in VR.
