And I'm happy just to sit here,
At a table with old friends.
And see which one of us can tell the biggest lies

quote:

On 27 June 2014, Marshall was stopped for a random breath test while driving and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.112. On 15 July he pleaded guilty to and was convicted for mid range drink driving. Marshall's counsel argued in mitigation that he was suffering from a head cold which may have impaired his awareness of his level of intoxication. He was disqualified from driving for nine months and fined $2,000. It was subsequently revealed that Marshall had incurred 17 speeding offences since 2002, and that his licence had been suspended on three separate occasions between 2003 and 2011. He was able to avoid a fourth suspension in May 2014 by entering into a good-behaviour bond.

Wow did you forget to change accounts? lmfao

No i just don't like people being asshats to idealists and a gang mentality that would alienate allies that are in political alignment just to feel superior which will only serve to push people away. You guys have an innate non understanding that maybe you'll get more allies by taking people on a good track under your wing and intellectually explaining the pros of a Green over a Democrat than being giant personal attacking dickheads.

I appreciate your position but I must be honest, there is no point in trying to improve matters. There truly isn't. There are very few places on the internet where a genuinely positive attitude is fostered and embraced by the community and this forum is absolutely, categorically not one of them. It grew from an ironic, snarky site and it is full of ironic, snarky people who thrive on trolling and creating drama for comedic purposes. And this thread, specifically, is full of Australians, who have a unique attitude to interacting with other human beings that borders on socially disabled at the best of times, and those Australians tend to be people who have turned to Internet interactions as a significant social outlet, further skewing the demographic in the direction of maladjustment. This is not to say that there are never good posts and good posters - there are many - but in general, expect mean humour, expect people to be bitchy whenever the opportunity presents itself, and expect to be disappointed far more often than pleasantly surprised.

And if anyone is reading this and thinking "ha yeah well that defs doesn't apply to me b/c I'm the most normal person here" I have bad loving news for them.

Hello Llama, why should I as a voter preference the democrats above the greens in regards to policy? Given a preferential system i can vote for both so there is no need to be all or nothing but i would like to understand a reasoning that they would represent my interests.
