I am 36 and I am confident that it will not happen in my lifetime, either from pure difficulty or because UVA will lose in the round of 32 and I will die this week.

A 16 beating a 1 is certainly more likely than a 15 beating a 1.

I can see a universe where Texas Southern trips up Xavier. They intentionally schedule every P5/6 team they can in November and December to toughen up for March, has a group of upperclassmen who have played a shitload of top teams for a HBCU, has been practicing and sharing a home gym with another tournament team all year (Houston), has been blowing out its competition since the end of February, and has a guy at center that has already beaten Xavier once (at Auburn). But we live in the darkest timeline.

Man that's unfortunate for UNGC. I was happy when that dude drove thinking he'd been getting runners pretty regularly and going 2 for 1 wouldn't be bad if he got something decent, but that was a terrible look. Then the three on the other end.

Penn isn't your everyday 16 seed. They're probably more like a 13 or a 14. This is the same coach (Donohue) that took a Cornell (the one that made it to the sweet 16) team to the last possession against a then #1 Kansas team in 2010 in Lawrence. It's probably still not going to happen, but this might be the best chance for a 16 seed we'll see in a long time.
