drat I loved catching fresh prince on nick @ nite as a kid, I recently watched an episode inspired by this thread and it had some poo poo that actually was relevant to my life. It's the one where Will wants to go to homecoming, but he decides he doesn't want uncle Phil's money so he gets a job in secret. At the end of the episode he tells his uncle that being a man is about being self-supporting and not needing help, and Uncle Phil responds that everyone needs help sometimes and there's no shame in that. For someone who'd rather struggle on his own instead of asking for help from people who'd gladly do it, that was pretty cool.

One of my favorite jokes from the show is Hilary asks Will how she can get back at this girl who was mean to her. Will says “back in Philly, we’d key her car and shove a potato up her tail pipe!” Next scene: Hilary enters kitchen covered in soot. Will says “what happened?” and Hilary responds “Will I tried what you said but I rubbed the potato all over her car and it didn’t leave a mark and then I lost my keys up her tailpipe!” I’ve seen that episode once like 20 years ago and I’ve never forgotten that joke.
