The judge just read the verdict. Chauvin is guilty of all three charges.

This does not make sense when, again, aggregate indicia also indicate improvements. The belief that things are worse is false. It remains false.

So how long until the appeal kicks off?

Also, when do the trials for the other 3 officers kick off?

Yeah I figured that short of a deliberation was either a solid guilty or an entire jury of chuds laughing about murder being cool before slamming the not guilty button and I'm incredibly relieved it's the former.

Other 3 are being tried together this Summer.

Appeal is going to be filed right away.

It's separate. With all 3 guilty verdicts, he'll likely get 20-30

Will their names and identities be made public? Or only if they try to capitalize on it by writing a book or talking to the press?

I'm sure there's at least one cop if not many that know their identities. I really fear for the jurors.

That's a Biden success story.

Eh, I doubt it as far as MPD cops. There were enough that testified for the prosecution that there won't be an outright retaliation. Also, AFAIK, none of the jurors in the Noor trial have had any issues and their names have been released for nearly a year.

What does this mean for potential Federal charges for civil rights violations?

I assume "he's guilty of murder and manslaughter" would make it easier to get a conviction, but I can also see the DOJ going "meh, good enough" if the sentence is decent and just letting it go.

I’m relieved, but it shows how low the bar has gotten that a guy who murders in broad daylight on film with a live audience being found guilty of a crime is considered cause for celebration.

I don't think there's any basis for federal prosecution. You might be thinking of a federal civil suit, but that would have to be initiated by Floyd's family and would only lead to monetary damages.
