It's like Microsoft beat out apple to become "the standard" pc company with Windows, a bland but functional imitation of Macintosh's graphic user interface. Then they made windows into the corporate IT, thing, of choice, and absorbed 90% of the pc market. They then decided not to do the exact same thing with smartphones because ????????!

I loving love my ipad It's a luxury item 100%, there's nothing you can't do better on a comparable specs laptop But goddamn is it awesome for toilet reading comics and table games and general loving around, and sometimes it's even useful and portable It's 100% a luxury item unless you're a pilot or something

The Surface Pro 3 has an amazing kickstand. It doesn't have clicks, just loads of resistance. It goes anywhere from nearly standing vertical to nearly laying flat. Also it's screen is way larger than te Surface Pro 1 but it's way thinner and way lighter. Edit: Also the stylus has a clickypen-like button whose sole purpose is to open up Onenote. At any time just click and doodle some dicks. TontoCorazon posted:The pen feels real nice too when using it. Also pressing the pens button to open onenote is a pretty cool idea. I know, right? You dont even need to unlock the tablet, just click and it opens up a blank sheet which you can worry about organizing later. Also doubleclicking takes a screencap and lets you select chunks of the screen to paste into Onenote! WOW Gutcruncher fucked around with this message at 05:11 on Sep 7, 2014 |

Don Tacorleone posted:It's a luxury item 100%, there's nothing you can't do better on a comparable specs laptop This When I got mine as a gift, I also had an iPhone 4. Started using the iPad and couldn't believe I'd spent so much time staring at such a tiny screen. I have screwed-up vision and I tend to hold my phone way too loving close to my face, which gives me double vision. I'm not an old, but I might as well be. So for stupid iOS games and general dicking around online, the bigger screen is really nice. But it's really not anything I couldn't do on a computer. It was really nice to have when my old laptop was making GBS threads itself and dying for like the last year that I had it (RIP white macbook that I had for five years), but the money spent on it would really have been better put toward an actual laptop. But now that I have a good laptop again and an android phone with a bigger screen, it's just kind of because? I'm using it to write this and I don't even know why It's just a neat shiny overpriced toy I might sell it if I need the money and probably wouldn't miss it that much, but

It's pretty great when you don't need to be productive. A lot lighter and easier to carry then a laptop. Phones are too small.

I hate how Apple products purposely use a different USB size than every other electronic device in the world. Like, loving knock it off. It's so annoying asking a friend to use their charger and then finding out they have a Apple product with a USB size 5 times bigger than everyone else just so they can be special.
