Started lurking in the mid-2000s. Watched a bit of MST3K on GTV. Got sucked in by the photoshops - 'you're a dog they won't even fit'. The earliest thread that sticks in my mind is the goon who planned on travelling across the US by sofa surfing. Made his way across California no problem. After a few days of being fed up sleeping in the desert he decided to buy a second hand car. He spray painted it with all sorts of random crap. Got stopped in the first hick town he got to by local sheriff. Turned out he'd gone AWOL from marines I think.
