I don't think I can be excited for this anymore... The atrocious graphics, wholesale gutting of RPG elements, incredibly stupid setting and insane inclusion of ridiculous things like base building just makes me sick, especially combined with how gameplay footage looks. I guess the shooting looks okay? I don't know how it is acceptable for an AAA game released in 2015 to have such poor quality... everything. With games like Witcher 3 already released, this game just looks awful in comparison. I guess they just waited too long to release it.

Instead, they were more fragile. Lasers, plasma, and gauss/tesla also all had different stats and operated differently as weapons, beyond being generally upgrades. FO4 makes the difference be what "type" you're using, so a *spits* laser musket is just like a pipe rifle, even making gun sounds. It's just whether you want gray, red, or green bullets.
