Now keep in mind that this was almost certainly said pre-C'ville.
The article is actually blogspam for this piece in the New York Times with snippets from the video that are all worth watching.

The summary from the blogspam is inadequate because it doesn't mention them talking about The Jews(tm) and how government mandatory birth control is a good thing.

i love how these CHUDs always try to twist Hitler into this misunderstood genius. even without bringing up the holocaust and all the other genocidal horrors, he was lovely leader in all ways. he got into power because shithead conservatives thought they could control him and were blinded by their stupidity and lust for either a monarchy or a military junta. he made dumbass decisions in economics, politics and war. he was surround be sadbrained weirdos who constantly tried to gently caress each other over or he would be trying to micromanage poo poo to oblivion and he lost bigly. he got skull hosed by the allies, especially the "degenerate" soviets. on top of that, he didn't leave any positive contributions behind.

Which was the namesake for "Autobahn" which is a great album.

I played a revolutionary anarchist ex-pat from Eastern Europe in a Deadlands campaign once, whom I modeled off Mad Stan from Batman Beyond. That was loads of fun.

Nah they made a 4th Edition version too. It's more that D&D that wasn't Tolien jerk off fanfiction made the regressive nerds that made 5th edition mad.

I didn't get to use my demolitions skill as much as I'd like since explosives are so goddamn powerful in that setting, but I did get the chance once to go on a borderline-incoherent rant about inequality before screaming that the only sane solution was to, "BLOW IT UP! BLOW IT ALL UP!" and then hurl dynamite through the front window of a mining magnates mansion. Justified the whole concept, right there.

Worse than the chunky salsa rules out of Sgadowrun? It's been ages since I read the original rules and the Savage Worlds rules never seemed that insane.

But that one moment does justify the whole thing. Did the old splat books deal with Marx at all? It's been like 8 or mote years since I read those. You would think with all the historical people thrown in that game you'd get dime kind of movement at least in The City O'Gloom

I'm apparently in the minority in that I prefer the original rules to Savage Worlds. Dynamite and nitro both do 3d20 damage per stick/8 oz bottle* respectively, which is massive even if none of the dice top out.

I never read all the splat books so I got no idea if there's anything about socialism or Marx in City o' Gloom or other similar books.

*And our DM went with the instability rule where, if seriously jarred or knocked about, dynamite detonates automatically on a 1 and nitro on 1-3 on a d6 roll.

I got into Tabletop RPGs in the late Bush years so original rules were out of print and PDF's were mostly low quality scans so I jumped into with Savage Worlds. But Savage World's is okay especially of you use the character creation rules based on the original game with it
