Release the Kraken! a marketing slogan by a company that has the worst track record for releasing anything... period.

Surely they must be taking the piss now.

Put me down for $1495 on the Kraken price,

Get pledging citizens! Pledging guarantees a higher status than the peons! Just think how high and mighty you will be flying your very own spacecraft carrier, standing on the deck, ordering your minions around while ships come and go, paying you fees for docking!

My gods, its going to be terrible.

I like the idea of a carrier - it's so symbolic of the shitshow that is CIG and the idiot "visionary" in charge.

A loving flight deck which I presume allows you to bulldoze ships off the side of it. A mobile version of the space stations they can't get working. A ship to carry other ships none of which are in game in working order, in a system with no flight model and no plan for one, run by a man who thinks you can swim in space by waving your arms.

It also represents the fact that any money taken for their latest fraudulent offer will act as a carrier for CIG itself for some time.

It's genius in its purest form.

I was just thinking that, actually. They did indeed nix ship to ship docking collars because they couldn't make them work. It's interesting that their workaround for the Kraken appears to involve just having a port olisar style landing pad slapped on top of the dumb thing.

Beet Wagon

Actually, to expand upon that: they nixed docking collars and ship to ship docking for smaller ships. The Idris and Hammerhead theoretically retained their docking collars for attaching to stations.

People have been screaming for a pocket carrier, especially those pirate types, for a couple years now...

In a game with no economy, no interdiction mechanism, no ship disabling weapons and a legal system that ammount to GTA wanted stars.

Also that thing is going to grab all server slots in any instance its in. Good luck pirating in an empty sphere.

I bet the deadliest thing on this is going to be the tram.

We dont even know if carriers are necessary for operations. AFAIK no fuel mechanism implemented so far
