it really doesn't feel like the ana heal debuff hurts roadhog much in practice. It hurts someone getting mercy healed or luciamped on the front a lot more, and the healing from it is better than making roadhog sit out of LoS for more of his hook cooldown. Now zen's pretty bad, and getting slept on hooking someone is Actually Very Awful, but at least ana/mccree/zen are all hook one-shots.

He can make trouble for Reinhardt-led pushes by lobbing grenades around the shield, or just by wearing it down decently quickly with direct hits. Just spamming grenades into a chokepoint can also hold up a flanking attack for a few precious seconds, allowing your team to get into a better position. Last but not least, almost nobody ever really seems to expect the trap. Put it down near the front just behind a corner, watch some poor soldier or something stumble right into it during a push, and basically receive a free kill

Junkrat has great area denial and I'm never unhappy to see one on the team. Me really depends in the player but I find when I play mercy and dmg boost her alot she gets poo poo done.

After a couple of weeks it seems like the comp ranking has settled out. I feel like now the other team is actually outplaying my team instead of my team having 1 or 2 pant shitters that just drag us down atleast when you solo queue. Has blizzard said anything about adjusting ultimates? In 40+ play because now it feels like chaining ultimates is the only way to compete and it is not cool and not good. Edit : also if mercy had a way to do a quick burst fire of her pistol and still heal at the same time that would make her cool and good on the same tier as Lucio. So I played 3 placement matches last night on PS4 and it actually wasnt that bad..ok the first game was pretty bad. I can't remember the comp well but it wasnt good and we had a pants on head retarded Zarya who didnt shield a single a person other than herself and a 76 that apparently couldn't hit anything We lost pretty handily on Numbani. 2nd match was not so good because I ended up with the same Zarya but the rest of the team was pretty solid. We split a point each and lost on the tiebreaker round. I actually snuck us the win on our escort round (think it was hollywood map) because the other team was doing a fair job of stalling us at the very end of the map. Then they got greedy and started pushing forward as time was running out. I was flanking with Lucio and snuck in front of the payload without being seen and speed boost + amp it up got us in just under the wire. I was pretty proud of that one. Last match was Kings road and we had a good comp. I was lucio again. We went to sudden death and we got defense. Held them off fairly handily. I had 11k+ healing done but no votes on my card again!  Overall, I actually did feel like the quality of play was better than quick play. People actually tried to hunt me down as Lucio (sometimes excessively so in my opinion) which was new for me as typically in quick play I seem to usually be more a target of opportunity. Also Tjorbon felt much less strong against teams that actually understood how to take turrets down and my team couldn't keep flankers off me to boot. It was nice playing with a godly Reinhardt who always seemed to know when to go ham and when to shield. I had multiple turret kills (with Lucio!) thanks to him and our flankers actually did a good job in that game keeping pressure off me so I could help Reinhardt push the payload ahead. Maybe I'll change my mind once I get placed but overall I think I enjoyed those games a lot more and felt better losing when we were clearly outplayed rather than having to two deal with 2 people slam picking Hanzo and being very bad with him.

Orb of Discord has always been a really, really strong ability bound to an underperforming character, if that character is suddenly no longer underperforming and can hold his own as a damage contributor among other things then yeah, maybe a 50% boost is excessive. I would argue that even knocked down to 30%, Discord is better for a coordinated team than something like Mercy's damage boost because it's effectively boosting everybody's damage versus the designated target, plus Zen can continue to shoot and hand out harmony orbs at the same time.
