I Said No posted:The main problem with 50FA's stories is how much he embellished the gently caress out of everything, downplaying and degrading the "villain" and playing up his self-insert so much that the stories all just kind of had the tone of Superman curb-stomping Gollum for four hours. Usually in the conclusion he would do something unbelievably morally lovely to the antagonist but pass it off as perfectly ok in the framing. It was just kind of weird and gross. Plus he'd often bust into threads where people were sharing actual life stories, some of which were upsetting or emotional, to derail the whole thing with his fiction. I didn't mind him having his own threads but it was really annoying for him to come in all "hey your real life traumatic story reminded me of this craaaazy fake thing that happened to me, the coolest and most handsome sex man, let's make this thread my thread now." I think someone actually bought him a title about that even.

the weird thing is like... in some cases, yeah, i get it. fate/stay night, for example, is mostly about wizards having a fuckin highlander battle using summoned mythological/historical figures as human weapons, all of whom have really goofy anime redesigns and wild as hell magical powers (for example, King Arthur has a lightsaber, a huge loving laser cannon, and Wolverine healing, and she's one of the less hilariously overpowered characters). that legitimately loving owns and you're not gonna get me to pretend it doesn't just because it also has anime tits. checking out the actual anime versions of it, which are on netflix and don't have graphic sex in them, is genuinely worth your time. poo poo's loving cool. but people in that thread are really scraping the bottom of the barrel, even by my standards. there is no meat in those gym mats. i have no idea why you would even play some of those games if you're not doing it to whack off, and i have no idea why they would post about their whacking habits on SA.

"All anime is bad" is the new "I don't own a tv". I will agree that 99.99% of anime is pure garbage but every once in a while a well written show with no creepy weirdo sexy poo poo comes along and it's ok to watch whatever that might be.
