FL Studio is really good for mastering/mixing songs. Before I bothered with that bullshit all my songs sounded like garbage, and I had no idea how garbage they sounded. Comparison: With mastering Without Same soundfont and everything. I'm thinking of remaking that second one, but I don't have the original file because I've gone through like 3 computers since I started making music (almost a year now, christ) and I don't have the original project anymore. Also I'm lazy. Always master, kids!

Cleaning up what sounds bad, boosting/cutting certain frequencies on certain instruments to accentuate what sounds good, etc. It's mostly trial and error, but once you find a certain configuration of stuff to cut/boost, you can reuse that pattern for future projects in that style.

They're not the same song, I was just giving an example on what that piano sounds like when you don't bother cleaning it up compared to when you do (and even then it could still use some work)
