Most people will either say that they don't know if it's rolled over, or something along those lines, but with the spelling and everything else wrong with that ad, maybe he's just dumb enough to not care.

Generally the street rodders will just buy a 'Mustang II in a box' front end kit these days rather than hacking up an actual car. It's significantly cheaper and easier, you're working with new parts and most of the time they'll come with vehicle specific frame-side bracketry so the whole thing bolts/welds straight on.

So that's why I can't find a Maverick or Pinto that isn't either ten grand or a drat drag car Gonna just have to start looking at project cars from the 40's, I guess.

This is an older one I grabbed from a couple of weeks ago (link is already dead). I wish I'd grabbed more photos, the whole car had a sort of look to it (not that it's surprising for a kit car). And the stick on blower was just the cherry on top. And this one just recently popped up and I want it bad. http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/5103273520.html Scruff McGruff fucked around with this message at 19:34 on Jul 9, 2015 |

Yeah I almost bought a '53 Desoto Powermaster for under $3k yesterday. A car that was made for two years is probably not the best place to start with a restoration, but man it looked good and talk about a simple wiring job. No point in looking at the 40's, though, WWII messed up car production something fierce.

Anyone got six grand I can The big 70's American land barges aren't going to go up in price much more, outside of the concourse scene. They get single digit mileage, are full of weird electronics, and the reproduction aftermarket just isn't there. I've been trying to buy a Mark III or IV for a few years now, but you've got to buy one in almost perfect condition unless you're prepared to drop ten grand on fixing dumb problems that few mechanics are prepared to deal with. But that Cadillac looks pretty great and would fun as hell to have as a DD. edit, content http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5113909786.html I hope you like red! I've been trying on and off to find an Olds 98 of that age and condition for my dad, who had one in his 20s. Yet to find one in that good of condition (that isn't puke green or has clearly been hosed with). Seems like a fair price too, although why does it say "72 Volkswagen corrado" in the corner?
