Haven't even finished listening to it yet, but sweet mother of god the new Demetori is intense. Way better than Begierde des Zauberer (and that one wasn't even bad).

I was pretty surprised by the ShibayanRecords album. Got it on a whim along with the usual Alstroameria "we literally put one of President Reagan's speeches in one of our tracks" Records, and it was way better.

I was going to protest, but after listening to some more of their stuff I can see what you mean. So I'm guessing C85's arranges are starting to come out? Because things are looking good if stuff like dBu's Adept Beat Shcerzo are the norm. The beeping in the middle can take some getting used to, but it kind of grows on you, I think. And honestly, I'm not used to dBu being this playful with their arranges, so it's taken on a really charming tone (beat? ) for me. Mind you, there's a usual dBu touch-up job in Descendant of the Hero if that's what you're into. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good rock song with some really minor electronic elements, but it's plain to hear that the original's carrying dBu's bells and whistles on this one. EDIT: Swear By God from Amateras Records is a very nice Little Princess arrange that everyone should listen to right now. Wan ~椀~ is a nice rock version of Little Princess, but the vocals don't really match- soft vocals don't really match the energy of either a rock song or the original Little Princess either, at least not in this one. EDIT 2: Oh my God, maybe it's just the nostalgia speaking, but I think I've found my favourite C85 Touhou-related release ever: Fly Out! Bankiki, an arrange of Dullahan Under the Willows from Shibayan Records! CommissarMega fucked around with this message at 13:57 on Jan 5, 2014 |

It's supposed to emulate the sound effects from her survival card, and its not the first arrange to pull the same gimmick (though its the first I've heard that didn't just rip the sound effects from the game). One of these days someone will figure out how to make a good Little Princess arrange, but it seems it will take a while yet . e: actually on second thought dBu's version is pretty good, albeit very safe. There was a guy who made a PC-98 instrumentation version of the track, but a de-make might not be what you're looking for.

I've found some English Touhou, 'Eurobeat' or whatever that music genre is. This version of this guys Septette of the Undead Princess I think is arguably the best with the most easy to follow lyrics. I want more of different genres in English but they seem to be really really hard to find aside from Bad Apple. Does anyone have perhaps a link to a English rendition of Foolish Tomboy in Love, Orange Jam aside? I'm also pretty sure the Remilia/Meiling/Scarlet Devil Mansion prequel story "Beauty of Scarlet" updated and has some more translations. On a related note I've started up watching Koishi's Heart throbbing Adventure and

Thanks mates! My experience has been putting 'english' into Youtube's search just got me anything with english subtitles, which has been frustrating. Also I've caught up on Heart Throbbing Adventure and I'm really hoping for a Doctor Who styled reset button, even though I treat every fan work as its own separate parallel universe.

Shinigiwa Satellite has a bunch of english songs. Also even though the lyrics are p sappy, was surprised by Engage in RD-Sounds newest thing. Wasn't expecting 3L singing in english. Kinda sorta wish there was more variety with the vocalists in diao ye zong's stuff though. Merami is nice but it would be neat to see other people's takes on RD's stuff.

Man, Touhou songs on spanish sound weird as hell, mainly because the singer ends extending the lyrics to match the song creating a really weird effect of different pitches. TOO SCSI FOR MY CAT posted:(what is it with Western arranges of Remi's theme being so emo? watching too much True Blood?) True Blood, Anne Rice books, Twilight, Buffy and its spinoff series... somewhere in the last 20 years or so, vampires in American culture have metamorphosed from "frightening superhuman killer" to "hurt and scared animal who just needs affection to heal its bleeding heart". Considering that Remilia is, like all Touhous, an anime with a nice hat, there's probably just enough overlap between moe interest and emo vampirism to make the two inseperable to some people.
