also this constant back-and-forth of power between two parties with identical economic goals and different social views is exactly the sort of thing the capitalists want to perpetuate for as long as possible. so long as the system allows them to keep bleeding us dry, they'll gladly allow cosmetic changes to our government so long as no one ever tries to disturb the flow of capital from our veins into their vaults
