Pasketti posted:I took my boyfriend to Medieval Times for his birthday on Thursday and our knight won. I screamed my head off cheering the whole show and got crowned "the queen of love and beauty" Medieval Times is SUPER fun. Got taken there last year for my birthday and that was my first time. It was great. If the food was more interesting it would be one of my favorite places, but - I understand their need to serve a coupla hundred people at once, while simultaneously keeping everything as middle of the road as possible. But still - an excellent drunken time. Also: hi thread. No picture update, but I survived the 15 days in the hospital. First followup went well - nothing needed to be infused as everything is recovering nicely on its own. I am SUPER bald, but didn't lose eyebrows/lashes or anything else. My beard thinned out a LOT which is great for me since I hate shaving. Might be too early to tell from the peach fuzz on my head, but my hair might be growing back blonde, which it was when I was very young. So that could be fun. At any rate - hospital time is the worst, so I am thrilled to be out. On the car ride home I broke down a little when it hit me that I was finally free. So from here on out it's just: getting a little better every day.

Medieval Times is like Hooters in that I keep thinking it must be a joke. What movie was it where they went to Medieval Times? I know I thought Hooters was made up by the Married... with Children writers.

I totally thought Medieval Times was a joke too or some weird lame kid thing, like chuck e cheeses with swords until the game grumps did an episode there a few months back. They got trained as knights for for a day and showed a lot of behind the scenes stuff and basically by the end of the episode I was looking up info to make a reservation. BF said it was the best birthday he ever had so I'm super glad. Hell it's the best birthday I ever took part in and it wasn't even my birthday! I yelled "KICK HIM IN THE NUTS" during one of the fights and then the knight actually kicked the other guy in the nuts, the absolute madman! ...I think I understand the appeal of wrestling now.

Medieval Times is always running deals/coupon codes too, so going all out with the VIP stuff doesn't really cost much more than regular seats. I try to go every time I pass through the Buena Park area. Its a good way to spend the evening and then go to Disneyland the next day if you are in town for that. Get the souvenir light up cup!

you really should get a proper HEPA mask as that will only keep the particles out, not all the nasty toxins from the poo poo that burned. For a state that thinks everything gives you cancer I find it ironic its handing out masks that don't protect you from cancer causing toxins
