it's not a "lol" it's a silent way to make apple maps links usable on non-Apple devices. on iOS + macOS, links like https://maps.apple.com?q=Toronto open Maps.app, on anything else, they defer to Google Maps automatically without nagging the user or making them do anything. it's actually really handy in some cases.

nah it's still "a lol" because if they really cared about usability they'd make it redirect to google maps on iOS and Mac OS X too

apple maps, right? like their own maps not bing for maps mobile live. its why it was so garbage for a year or so while they got it sorted and the better data feeds integrated into the routing

i also use keep rear end and store the database in dropbox. in addition to a pass phrase i also use a key file that, afaik, has never touched a butt, i have copied it directly and manually to devices i want to use my passwords on.

i got that when i updated - it couldn't find an address i had always regularly driven to

i think i got it working, but sometimes it sort of refuses to give me directions to it which is super weird

the most recent direction interface is also really, really bad, just as they had implemented what i thought was an amazing one. or maybe you just need to do some gestures and put it in landscape mode only, i don't f'ing know at this point, but it's weird to mess with something as important so often, it's like they thought they'd gently caress with us some more beyond the traditional alarm clock bugs
