It's inspiring, but there's been a lot of unnecessary drama. There's some boring backstory, but we were a "State Level" local group that had to be broken down and zipcodes dolled out and that process took a lot longer than it should have, so our group had an Org Committee that wasn't quite official and it took way too long to become an official chapter. That caused some tension as a real hierarchy and real policies didn't get put in place in time and some people got their feelings hurt. Just your standard volunteer work stuff, people putting in too much time and getting burnt out, people making unilateral decisions in the name of expediency, people getting their toes stepped on. Now we need to come together as a chapter and try to get over all that and get some real structure in place. I think it's also stunted our growth and our ability to do more in the community. That being said, getting stuff done and doing rallies and coalition-building has been good. I've been working more behind the scenes on getting our tech infrastructure and processes in place. It's progress.

Took the day off and went to a May Day rally at the state capital. Was a surprisingly good turnout, maybe like 100 people. Not a great outreach opportunity as it was all leftists, but it was a good bit of coalition-building.
