I find myself at basically the halfway point of the two groups they talk about in Private Parts at this point. There are some bits he does that are funny as hell, and I can't wait to see what he does next. While it went on a bit too long, the Luca Brazi thing from last week was great. But then there's also times where he is saying something really stupid and ignorant, and I keep listening because I want to see where it's going there, too. God drat it, Howard Stern.

I'm barely in my 30's and I'm still confused and blown away by how much that kid makes.

Nerds getting mad at Howard in here. You really think a guy in his 60's is going to take time to acknowledge an MMO web broadcast from Korea? Come on guys, step back and think here for a minute. This is going back to that poo poo fest about Howard vs. Ari. Podcast vs. Radio? Who gives a poo poo, who gives a gently caress?

I do, when Howard spends twenty minutes ranting about them two or three episodes in a row. So Howard also seems to care a lot too, to be dedicating all this loving time to them. The problem is he has no idea what he's talking about. I think League of Legends is stupid and bad, but there's no denying it's a hugely popular, money making thing that is relevant on some level world wide.

It's just a bit silly to rag on Howard for this, what else would you expect his reaction to esports stuff would be. He's an old dude and we're talking about video games, unless he's going through the motions doing an ad he'll mock them like everything else.

Anyway since the Godfather bit was mentioned, I thought it fell flat just because Artie wasn't there to take part. Might as well just never play that music again in my opinion. The Bruce Jenner poo poo was pretty good though.

Hey, I wasn't saying Howard should be up to date on the hottest video ganes, I was simply saying it was pretty funny that the numbers were right there in front of him (up for the same award as his birthday bash) and he acted all dismissive as if someone were messing with him and not as though this "geeks and video games" thing was totally bigger than his birthday.

Yeah this. I don't give a crap about LoL at all, but there's no denying it's a thing that people watch and makes a ton of money.

Just hearing about this makes me remember how much I love it when Artie quotes the entire grading scene from Animal House. I don't know if he's reading from IMDB or what, and I've only seen the movie once, but it FEELS like he gets it bang-on.

He didn't quote the entire scene word for word for what it is worth.

He did nail the most important line though

I wish Artie would record commentary tracks of just himself watching his favorite movies like Goodfellas and Godfather.

His podcast is tolerable at best, but I could listen to him talk about movies all day.

I like when he shoots the poo poo with people and talks about stuff, but yeah, he could use a bit more structure. I like him talking about comedians, hollywood, his childhood, movies and all that stuff. It is better than listening to him talk about sports.

I saw this one Reddit, figured I'd rather discuss it here, because... well... Reddit..

    Artie permanently rejoins the show
    Jackie permanently rejoins the show
    HowardTV returns
40 hours of original content per week on 101
Wrap Up Show returns to its former glory
    More strippers/pornstars/sybians
Eric the Midget comes back from the dead
Hank comes back from the dead
    Bobo and Marianne permanently banned
    Howard leaves AGT
    5 shows per week
Second Private Parts movie that deals with the divorce, move to satellite, Artie addiction saga, and eventual sterilization of the show
    Channel 9 Show on DVD
    E! Interview Show on DVD
    High School Years
    Porky's Remake
    Doomsday
Beetlejuice returns to his former glory

Personally, I'd have ETM and Artie back, my third option would be the return of Howard TV.

-Hank comes back from the dead
This one. More then anything else, by far.

-Artie permanently rejoins the show
-Jackie permanently rejoins the show

I'd take either of these, but the reality is that the show has changed so much since they left that neither one would work anymore.

-Bobo and Marianne permanently banned
I'd love to never hear from Bobo again, but Marianne has her place. Also, she has a level of self-awareness that Bobo completely lacks.

-Second Private Parts movie that deals with the divorce, move to satellite, Artie addiction saga, and eventual sterilization of the show
This is fantastic, but it's pure fantasy. We already got a sanitized version of most of these events with The History of Howard Stern, so it's clear that that is as much as Howard wants to say.

I'll take Jackie or Artie. Bobo needs to go. He's already death to the show and then when he starts yelling at people to call in to tell him he's awful I get even angrier. He seems to think that providing horrible content for the show is superior to providing none.

AGT talk is awful; the second Howard starts to complain about it I roll my eyes. Nobody is putting a gun to his head and forcing him to get paid $25M per year to watch jugglers.

Artie is always entertaining, I just don't care much for his regular co-hosts.

Chris Cotton is annoying as gently caress and Joe Matarese seems off but I couldn't figure out why. Then he said he takes anti-rage medication to keep himself mellow and that explained that.

Just wait until you get to the part where Joe has pretty much hosed off from the show because Artie wasn't paying them anything and it was costing him $40+ a day just in transportation to Artie's home to do the show. But he got plugs!

He's been pretty much replaced by Sue Costello. I can't stand her, my brain tries as hard as possible to just skip over everything she says which is a lot of new-age positivity bullshit. Sadly, that's probably true.

When you go back the early days of Sirius it seems like the studio was always a chaotic circus unless there was a guest being interviewed.

At any given time there was a minimum of Richard, Sal and JD being in there, plus Will, Scott and the Howard TV crew along with like a half dozen of the news team members. All the while Gary and Depace were usually yelling something over their mics. Not to mentioned the premium crop of Whack Packers waiting on the lines.

All this gave Artie plenty to play off of and the studio is just too dead and dull now by comparison to give him much to work with.

Plus Artie is even more of a mess now than he was during his time on the Stern show. There's no way he could get himself to a radio show that early every morning and actually contribute on a regular basis.
