Kid is making GBS threads in the middle of the street but running them over even in an accident is just straight up negligent. Not getting off them and coming out to have a look is just Chinese mainlander thing they could do. I honestly was expecting the them to drive back and forwards a couple of times to "Make sure".Gromit posted:If the driver is low enough in the seat they probably didn't see the mother and child at all, given that she is bent over and matches about the height of the front of the car. Probably thought she got caught up on a traffic cone or something. There is no level of excuse for this in a civilised country but China so YOLO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQp9RC2sfT0

if the person genuinely didn't see the child and old lady, who were both squatting in the middle of an intersection, it isn't really a reflection on the society. the driving, that is. there are car accidents in Canada, the United States, Germany, UK, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, etc. all the time due to people checking their phones, maybe finding someone on Uber or whatever, or simply not paying attention. it happens. the book "A Deadly Wandering" is a fantastic look at distracted driving. if they didn't see the people they probably had no idea they had just hit someone, they probably though, as someone said, that it was a traffic cone. maybe a cat or dog. my first thought when I feel a bump in my car isn't "I wonder if I just ran over a child who was taking a poo poo". look, lets not speak ill of people who were run over by a car, but if you want to talk about negligence, you might need to look at the people who got hit sometimes. the thing that is not really that common in a civilized society is that it is not very common to stop and squat and take a dump on the crosswalk.

Kid making GBS threads on the road is irrelevant. On the road it is 100% the driver's responsibility outside of no fault situations. Her actions don't speak well for them either.

In the future, just please link videos where people die/are probably dead. You never know when someone's kid might be standing behind them without their knowledge, if nothing else. Titty twister vid is good, 10/10.

Collateral Damage posted:To be fair everyone who's ever had to deal with kids knows the "Do you need to pee before we leave?" "No!" "Okay then." *five minutes after leaving the house* "I have to pee!" routine. As I recall, the response to that was "tough poo poo, hold it til we get there". I have to walk past a kindergarten on the way to the subway after work, so invariably I see at least a few kids pissing/making GBS threads everywhere every day. Right outside the kindergarten which I assume has bathrooms they could go back in and use.

Also considering that not that long ago people just straight lost all their teeth pretty commonly, I don't think a stick is just kinda fine. George Washington having false teeth is one of the better known things about him and that was like yesterday on a historical scale.

Lots of patriotic frothing today on the Chinaweb as 18 September is the official (according to the PRC) start of the glorious 14 year people's resistance to Japanese aggression Chiang Kai-Shek and the Young Marshal may also have been involved but we cannot be sure so we need to stick to the facts of CCP victory

In private, of course.
