Spent a load of time trying to work out colour and it just wasn't working for me, so I took the opportunity to play around with screentones and gradients and stuff.  It's a fashionable oni.  The club is pretty traditional, but you can't improve on a classic.

November Been really enjoying figuring out the colours in the last two. Both are only using various shades of blue, but due to the low contrasts your eyes perceive much more than there is. Really neat. lofi posted:WIP on a big ol brutalism study. Always a fan of derelict buildings!

Thanks, I'm really pleased with it! It's probably been... Uhh... About 6-9 hours? I've been working on it in bursts while listening to an audiobook, so I can't really say for sure. Now I look at it, it's really making me think of The Cage, a super-early-proto-graphic-novel. Gonna call it done now, and try to get it scanned properly tomorrow.  Also, Gellipens are really loving good white gel pens, great for this sort of work (letting me add the frame in the mid-left window after I'd done the main window-black, for example).

So I know a shitton of peoples tumblr, and I was mirroring my doodles on it, butquote:Is adult content allowed on Tumblr? Since this includes illustrations with crimes such as “female nipples”, artists I follow have been saying some of their art has already been shadowbanned. So if you use it you might want to check you’ve got backups.

Despite Deviantart's past reputation, it's got a staggering amount of good artists on it nowadays, so I'm not too surprised. Newgrounds is the surprising one; I didn't even know they were still around.
