 Knytt Stories is coming up in a little over two hours' time. It's a cute and cozy metroidvania without combat but with super tight jumping mechanics (a lot like Celeste!). It's pretty much my favorite game ever and inspired me to get into game development. The dev, Nifflas, is a really cool and did a live Skype commentary of one of his other games, Within a Deep Forest, at GDQ. He was also speedrunning the game himself right after release. He's also partially responsible for the super chill soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwXsUbKfCWA. You'll want put the kettle on for this one.

Also I couldn’t focus on any runs for a while there, I got an email about some temporary work starting next week and at the end of August so I was filling in forms about employment history and whatnot to apply for that. I hope I get the work even though it’s only a couple of weeks but it’s work I enjoy and I could really do with the extra money

I feel like they should've pushed those smaller donation incentives a bit more. But then again, the donation amounts for ESA are generally always smaller, and people are probably saving for the big ones.

Good run, too bad the RNG was mean in the lodge segment.  that other Knytt runner  I should probably play this and the original Knytt Stories levels again sometime this summer.

On stream-related news, I'm sticking on Stream 2 for now ... but I do want to catch that Dark Souls 2 run later. I just noticed they're running Sherlock Holmes: Devil's daughter on friday. I love the new Sherlock Holmes games, that's gonna be a must-see.

Basically there was a huge rear end storm that took out most of the city's/county's power but a lot of it has been restored already. Like downtown was only out for two hours and my neighbors across the street have power now, and have since like 9pm (so it took them about four hours). But there's a line down in my backyard so everybody on this side of the street is SOL.
