Sorry. I know this is against everything the steam thread stands for, but it's worth $15.

Is there a way to block curators? I really don't give a gently caress what TotalBiscuit thinks about anything, but he's currently inescapable on any store page I seem to browse to.

Defiance plays fine casually. Though after a while you realize that you're doing the same stuff over and over again and the game gets old.

Also having an 'over-levelled' character and playing with an 'underleveled' friend on missions REALLY fucks up balance. Everything becomes super-duper bullet spongy. Like, 5 LMG mags to kill a mook. There's 15+ mooks in the area. So either mission solo or with evenly levelled players.
Co-op maps are fine, they're set levels.

Forced myself to finish Wolfenstein today after putting it down when DA:I came out, I was closer to the end than I thought! Solid game overall, although the end was a bit abrupt. I would have been bummed paying full price at launch for it but it's perfect for $20-$30, so I'm glad I waited for the sale.

It's a pretty straightforward game. I don't see how you could screw it up, really. It's not very difficult. Still, very fun and worth playing.

Black Edition is the original + expansion-- the good two before they started licensing the name to other studios that made terrible games. No idea what its co-op capabilities are, if any, but that's the good Painkiller.

Enchanced Steam has an option to block curators and a lot of other stuff that was added in the recent redesign. If you already have it installed, maybe update it and there should be a customize button on the top right of the main page or around the game price on the store page.

Green Man Gaming has Shadow of Mordor for 33% off compared to Steam's 25%, and you can activate it on Steam. I did that for Dark Souls 2.

The only co-op Painkiller is Hell & Damnation. All the games on the old engine just have competitive multiplayer.

It's a top form multipart episode. I found the combat to be unengaging but serviceable, and the inventory stuff to be boring and silly - there's so much poo poo to collect/are given that doesn't do anything, or just feels pointless as flavor - , but those are pretty much the only two negative things I could say. I wish I could have just watched it like a show because it was funny as gently caress.

Awesome, I'll be grabbing this during the Christmas sale for sure. I appreciate the short summaries everyone provided.

Edit: Transistor is a solid grab at $10. I wish I could play it through new again. The visuals and music are phenomenal, but I expect nothing less from Supergiant these days.

If you guys are considering it, Rocksmith 2014 is a legit great guitar playing game (you need a guitar and cable to play, however).
