Fangs count as offhand attacks, so 15% chance base for the extra attack, can be raised via relevant skills. You could also set that limb to be your primary weapon, if you really wanted.

I was going to say, snapjaw, being at least spiritually related to hyenas, seem like they should have very powerful necks.

To be true to how dogs and hyenas kill prey with their mouths, a bite attack should let you latch and then shake your target to do internal damage… this does not seem like a good idea for Qud

Beaks should have a [V] selection option that lets you pick beaks or toothy snouts and they should be upgradeable for more intense biting action. I want to solve every problem in front of me with excessive application of teeth tbh.

man, before I had been skeptical that wrestling could be fit into Qud in a way that felt consistent with the flavor of the world… but implying that the prey-killing behaviors of latch+shake and latch+roll exist as a cluster of techniques that overlap with pro wrestling and [insert as many grappling martial arts as you please]???

You could have stance based variations, too, where a latch + roll move could be a croc-style death roll meant to rip or dislocate in “damaging” stance and could be a sick tomoe nage in a “displacing” stance

Gotta be an achievement for suplexing a star kraken…

A grappling system really seems like maybe it *should* interact with body parts / body plan in ways that are more complicated than any current body part interactions.
