I think someone mentioned this a page or two back, but you really only need one mod for normal gameplay now: the auto-aim assistant. If you're playing artillery, you need Battle Assistant. Other than those two, I use a XVM for stats, damage panel, and some icon mods, but they're not necessary.

There's still a bunch of other quality of life poo poo that broke with 9.15, specifically multi-lined tank carousel, garage filtering, and XVM map mods, that Wargaming either hasn't replaced or has replaced with shittier versions. XVM has fixed the carousel and filtering, but map stuff remains broken.

I had the worst time stock grinding the Panther (making me all the more flummoxed that anyone would pay for a Panther/M10). Now I have the pencil dick gun, first game was great, got lots of sniping in, good clean fun. This game wasn't nearly as good damage wise and a lost viewport boned me hard on Sand River so I couldn't see anyone shooting me toward the second half of the match. However, I've learned the secret to the Panther. The gun is trollish because it's fantastic sitting still but not as good moving, and I missed a few fairly reasonable shots. I just timed out of the queue trying to play my PzB2. You can't loving tell me that I went 5 minutes without and then we got a 7v7 where I carried easily by saying, in all chat, "Do not go south" on Live Oaks, then gave multiple reasons not to go south. Obviously my teammates blamed me for the loss, since I goaded the enemy into going to the south, and then ignored our southern flank. Spoiler alert, the enemy tried to go across that open field near our cap and lost easily! Never go south on Live Oaks, you achieve nothing.

Actually, on console it kinda works better, because of the snap-to autoaim. Which I believe is now a mod on pc? It's apparently been there since the start on console, because aiming with a gamepad is a lot loving harder than a mouse.

I queued for half an hour last night on a tier two light got into two matches that lasted less than five minutes and was brutally clubbed twice. Yay! For the first line you want to pursue you get enough xp and credits from the training missions to jump straight into tier three but that will mean starting a new account for each line -/- This Auto aim mod is it this one? If so please explain why it is essential when normal auto aim seems to do almost exactly what this does. Inform me for I am a terrible player. My only solace being that I am hard to pick out from the seemingly endless ocean of likewise hopeless pubbies.

This one lets you hit right click and autoaim without having the tank exactly under your recticle. Ie if they're covered by an obstruction or if you're in a fast paced circling dash - you can right click and it will lock to the nearest tank. It can be a pain when there's a few in relatively close proximity but overall it's a fantastic mod because you're not having to near pixel hunt in a time critical scenario.

AWWW. WG you are so cruel. I had a map start on Lakeville, but everyone was stuck at spawn on both sides, EXCEPT ME. I was rolling over to the enemy spawn to and max damage but then the server stopped.
